Earlier this year, influenza, colds, and the stomach flue struck several schools and businesses throughout the Greater St. Louis region. After noticing how neighboring schools temporarily closed due to several sick students, the faculty at Assumption Parish in O’Fallon decided to take preventative measures.
Assumption Parish called Claria Clean to fight against germs from spreading in their school with our infection control system. Since the institution is a parochial school, they have limited resources compared to their public-school counterparts. However, Assumption knew that our services were necessary in order to keep their students and faculty healthy.
While performing our infection control services at the school, we measured the number of unhealthy microorganisms with an adenosine triphosphate (ATP) test. In the process, we discovered that the dirtiest places were doorknobs, door handles, and the top of the desks. After disinfecting the building, we tested again for harmful bacteria and determined the process was a success.
“I was very, very impressed with Claria Clean’s process and the data they provided,” said Jim Hager, Business Manager of Assumption Parish School. “Not only did the team disinfect our building, but the tests they performed also offered us valuable insight into how we can better clean the building in the future.”
Claria Clean is proud to have helped keep the students, faculty, and staff at Assumption Parish safer this year. If you are interested in having your facility disinfected, please call (636) 887-0260 to learn more about the process.
