With the holidays upon us, many of us plan to travel in the next few weeks. If you plan to leave your house for more than a few days, consider shutting off them main water supply coming into your home.

We’ve worked with many frustrated homeowners who haven’t done so and have returned from vacation to find water all over their house. Yes, water flowing from a burst pipe or an overflowing toilet can cause water damage in your home, but what it is often worse is that mold can start to grow within 72 hours. That means for some vacationing homeowners, they also need mold remediation services after returning from vacation. What a terrible way to end a vacation!

If you would like a tag for your water shut off line in your home, give us a call and we can send one to you.

Safe travels and Happy Holidays!
